Mōmento Mori comes from the phrase memento mori, which traditionally means “remember you must die.” Very dramatic. Very skull-on-a-desk. Very “please don’t make this weird at brunch.”
But the platform Mōmento Mori is not about doom. It is about remembering that life is precious, unpredictable, and worth preparing for with care. This is Just-in-Case Planning: a practical, loving way to organize your people, access, decisions, and daily-life details before life gets loud.

Here’s what Mōmento Mori is really about:
IT IS NOT END-OF-LIFE PLANNING ONLY. Yes, some of this work helps when someone dies. But it also helps if you are hospitalized, unreachable, traveling, caring for someone else, living abroad, grieving, overwhelmed, or temporarily unable to manage life. This is not just “what happens after.” It is “what happens if life gets loud and my people need to step in?”
IT IS PEOPLE BEFORE PAPERWORK. Wills, power of attorney, insurance, and legal documents matter. But real life also asks: who has the spare key, who can stay calm, who knows where the insurance card is, who should call your job, who can get to the dog, and who should absolutely not be making decisions even if they love you?
IT CAME FROM LIVED EXPERIENCES, THEN BECAME A SYSTEM. Mōmento Mori started after my family had to navigate back-to-back losses and the kind of logistics no one warns you about. But it did not stay a grief story. I spent time developing the platform, interviewing people, testing language, building tools, revising the offer, and moving toward the clearest category for the work: Just-in-Case Planning.
IT IS FOR INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES, COMMUNITIES, AND ORGANIZATIONS. This work is for the adult child with aging parents, the single person living alone, the expat with people in another country, the sibling group trying not to fight, the caregiver, the founder, the freelancer, the community leader, and the organization that understands people bring real life with them everywhere they go. It is love with instructions. Love is beautiful. Love matters. But love alone does not know your phone passcode, your landlord’s number, your mother’s medication list, or which cousin should not be given access to the group chat and the microphone. Mōmento Mori helps you turn care into clarity.
